Rain Castle

Going down like the sinking of a ship: We destroy all we build.

And as the

          focus

    shifts   again

It is a new day,

forget everything

         that has ever happened.

       We are like

brittle

bones

broken

      through skin

worn fragile and thin

while we wait

for

our

ribs

to

cave

in.

A repition of older ways.

We recycle all we have thought

through our hollow, plastic hearts.

And all the ground slips out from underneath us, we harken back to the days that we have never spent.
