Rain Dancing


Hand in hand they whisk through the twilight Talking Laughing Suddenly the sun retreats The heavens open pouring crystal droplets on the pair He scoops her in his grasp Spinning Flying Head back Embracing the moment Laughter rings through the wind He sets her down Where his knee hits a puddle ripples Caressing her trembling hand He says four short daring powerful life changing words “Will you marry me?” Her face is wet not only from the rain
