Rain of Envy

Waiting up high in the old wooden rafters Perched like an ominous owl, ready to attack Skin dry and powder white with not one strand of hair Long slender neck Bowl-shaped chest and spine of crooked knobs Ass flat and bare, legs long and emaciated Malevolently staring down below At the man of great muscle and hair Chest and arms strong Solid pectorals and biceps reaching toward the sky Hair full and trim Perfectly placed in just the right spots Abdominals chiseled into six compact squares Bubbled ass cheeks firm and tight Swaggering walk Boasting in the face of modesty Ignorant of what lies above From above comes tilt of hand and tip of vessel Acid vessel full of hate Swarming, surging, burning rain Tanned skin and burly hairs smoldering Eating into chiseled muscle Acid streams corroding all manliness and beauty Slight smile emerging from the ghoulish figure above Contently staring down at the terror it rained

presto
while the content of the poem is fantasy, it addresses a very real issue- society's negative impact on body image
