rain friend.
city lights, flashing on.
the bees no longer buzzing.
i wonder why the world just stops,
when all rain wants...
is a friend to be with?
the clouds gloom over,
and the teardrops start to fall.
the wind gets upset,
and the birds fly away.
little kids, running about.
clueless with what is occurring in the world.
dogs panting and running with joy,
as parents just relax, enjoying the breeze.
but stop.
the rain wants a friend.
just one friend.
and starts to cry harder.
the kids scream, the parents worry.
the dogs whine, and trees start waving.
it's time to go home,
go inside to drink hot coco.
without the parents, without the shelter,
and without the food.
oh where would the little kids be?
the rain stop crying,
realizing that crying won't solve anything.
instead he smiles.
and oh look! a rainbow ahead.
dogs sit in awe, kids shout with joy,
and parents? well filled with happiness and love.
there the rain realized,
it is okay to be sad,
but there will always be something to smile about.
