Rain Washes Away
Today the rain washed away the pain and
Showed us what is to be new again.
A cloud brought forth, with its dark, heavy hand,
A bright, light solution for all our gain.
After the worst storm, I am amazed that
Only air so clean and a sky so bright
Can make us believe that, whate’er has past,
We can start again and make it all right.
Your pain is past, and you can move forward.
Just look outside and see the drops of rain
On the leaves, which stay some time then move to’ard
A new beginning; they’ve washed out the stain.
What if we all could be just like the rain?
What if we all could take away the pain?
