A Rainbow Before the End

Crimson words of hatred

Rest like heavy tombstones on my tongue

And though I can not bear to say them

They're crumbling out to weigh you down

Copper shards of sickness

Crawl out from the corners of my mouth

Inhaling the cutting crispness

I can’t help but cough them out

Lemon lyrics of delirium

Daze me out of seeing clear

Incoherent revelations

Am I crazy? Is it near?

Verdant envy seizes me

And pours rapidly throughout

It dances like a maelstrom

Around the things I think about

Cobalt crests of melancholy

Stab the iris of my eye

I leak the tears of misery

From qualm of missing the goodbye

And slowly now the violet arrives

Pouring out to no surprise

It brings closer my demise

So I look inside your silver eyes

--- as my colors slowly die.
