Rainbow Flags

Location

For years I'd been alone.

They'd scorned me while I raised my flag,

Spitting venom and curses,

All because I loved my own gender.

Trapped for years in the darkness,

I'd stumbled into you,

My Princess.

I swept you off your feet,

because that's what you deserve.

Someone of such beauty,

I never thought you'd be mine.

Now we are out,

Together,

and stand tall against the tsunami of ignorance.

Take my hand,

my love.

They will not crush us.

We will be made stronger.

You have my heart.

It is yours for as long as you want it.

And one day...

You will have my last name.
