Rainbow of Nature

Everywhere I look I see colors of all kinds White puffy clouds, an orange blazing sun, and giant green pines The majestic sky is filled with every shade of blue A brown plowed up field where orange pumpkins once grew There are black birds perched on a white picket fence And a fluffy yellow cat sleeping on a bench I spot a green field speckled with red cows And then still another field where a green John Deere plows By the road grows a sea of purple and pink Phlox In my garage there’s a teal Corvette sitting on blocks As the wind blows a red apple falls from its tree And rolls through the grey looking dust toward me On a bridge there are fisherman wearing yellow straw hats Looking in the silver water at their reflections staring back My midnight black dog chases a fuzzy grey squirrel As she kicks up dead leaves in a brown and golden swirl A black tire swing is swaying in the breeze And pink azaleas’ pollen causes me to sneeze Beneath the white wispy clouds some movement I can spy As a flock of tiny blue jays fly silently by Around a cemetery that has been freshly mowed Beautiful pink hurricane lilies grow On the black asphalt road there are bright yellow dotted lines And fields on both sides with straight rows of green melon vines So many colors everywhere I look In every cranny and every nook God has splashed brilliant colors all over his earth As if to show us how much we are worth You can see with just a glance These colors didn't come about by any chance Look! Every color that you can see, God put them right there To show all of us just how much he really cares!
