Rainbow Relationship
Crimson, garnet, rose
My blushing cheeks are an overflowing glass of merlot
Your tender lips continually add to the burgundy waterfall
An elated smile spreads like the red tint of a ripening tomato
Amber, honey, tangerine
My stomach flutters with the wings of Monarch butterflies
Your gentle hands churn their fierce, fiery quivering
A balmy giggle bubbles up like orange lava from a volcano
Citrine, daffodil, lemon
My heart whistles the songs of a thousand lighthearted canaries
Your laughing eyes draw out the sweet, butterscotch sound
Happiness floods through me like warm, yellow sunshine
Emerald, pear, shamrock
My body is a tree shivering in the crisp breeze
Your trailing fingertips cause the mossy leaves to tremble
Passion consumes me like green weeds overcome a garden
Arctic, berry, sapphire
My mind is the infinite sky–– quietly calm above the earth
Your strong arms push the clouds from the cerulean scene
Hope appears like your tattoo cries to the blue corn moon
Azure, denim, tanzanite
My crinkling nose is a plump, ripened boysenberry
Your raised eyebrow further scrunches the berry fruit
Joy moves me like indigo Baptisias swaying in the wind
Amethyst, lavender, plum
My roaming, wandering lips nip softly at your neck
Your tempting scent will always taste better than eggplant
Serenity keeps me in place like a well-tucked, purple blanket
