Rainbow Roses
Indiscernible shades—
A gradient to quell prying periphery!
Watercolor transitions,
A palette to conquer metacarpal denial.
In a fluid fenced spectrum
faces sway as opinions,
by an elected eloquence.
And in this court,
a fusion of similarities,
Parallel the illusion of distinction
Unaffected stalks
lend to fated standstills
and vanity kissed vacant chills.
Don’t let them fool you.
Beauty masks their mirrored minds,
Their weathered faces a harmony,
But the colors hide the lines.
Seemingly, they dare to breathe uniquely.
But see—
In constrained gasping gulps,
Indulging their veins with that pleasant nectar,
The stock that sustains their feeble ecstasy.
While their vibrant velvet happenstances
Seek brighter futures—
Liberty! They conceit,
But in this mottled court
they can only lease their chains.
Don’t let them fool you!
Without hope they settle for roots.
Rainbow flora,
Bound to the ground,
Their raucous chorus is desperation
And nothing can be done.
It is a pity.
But my,
how they are exquisite.
