The Raindrop of Dream

The raindrops tapping on the window wall, each with a tale of their own.

The little boy, whose water soaked boots

And makes his mother want to scream and hoot.

“Get back in here she calls. The water will sicken you.”

But the boy doesn’t listen, he keeps going,

Looking for something.

The worlds turn and the clouds smile at him.

Some call it success,

But it’s simply a decree.

The young explorer,

Wandering the world in search of his heart.

The world, his professor, his peers

They told him “Don’t explore.

You have a safe job, no worries, a steady source

of money. Don’t risk it all.”

But the young explorer doesn’t listen, he keeps going,

Looking for something.

The worlds turn and the clouds smile at him.

Some call it success,

But it’s simply a decree.

They young boy, trampling through puddles body lengths deep.

He’s not afraid because he is in the presence of his dream.

At the end of the path: A reward greater than gold.

His soul wavers, he has a lost relic.

One that people tell him that doesn’t exist.

The young explorer reaches the end of his journey.

Running through hills called mountains,

He has connected to the world.

He gave up his fortune but he gained so much more,

A geological study that will shape the world.

The world told them they could not succeed.

But they refused to listen: They chased their heart and mind

And found what was in thine.

Some would ask of the world:

Change hunger, vanquish sadness.

But in the presence of dreams, there is no

True hunger and sadness.

So, with my last breath,  I cry to the world:

Let your  people  Listen to the elements, the soul within yourself.

And Never, Never, Never tell one what they cannot do because all

Happiness  is not given to just those who

Play not to lose paper currency or gather new car

But those willing to read the signs.
