Rainstorm
the rain cries
the thunder yells
the earth engulfed in eternal sadness
animals of the forest take cover.
in the trunks of evergreens
the lightning pierces of an early warning
creators of the sea cling to the coral reefs.
the winds grow violent with rage.
trees are unable to hold on.
they are ripped from the protection of earth
and following the wind and landing on a shore.
others join with wild life.
the rain beats and pours
the thunder roars and howls
the earth in everlasting depression
animals of the wildlife scared and cold
on the shores of forest debris
the lightning strikes of an end coming
the wind settles into a soft, gently breeze.
lightning and thunder seizes
crying rains come to a hold
but clouds of grey remain
in grief of the loss of the forest
once enchanting, full and alive
now dead, grey, and lifeless.
animals cautiously poke out and gather
to migrate to a new home
but they too cry
for the loss of their true home.
