A Rainy Day

The Rain kept pouring

You didn’t care

The Thunderclouds roaring

I didn’t scare

The lightning was crashing

We were a pair

The cars were splashing

I loved being there

We splished and splashed

Soaked to the bone

We sang and we danced

As if all alone

We huddled and bundled

Finding warmth in our eyes

We giggled and sniggled

With no reason of why

Hand in hand we strolled down the street

With two hoodlums behind soaking their feet

Stride by stride we got lost in the rain

While the teacher at school professed we were insane

Laugh by laugh we over powered the shower

With your arm around me I could never cower

For a girl so cold, and stuck in a storm

I’d never before ever felt so warm
