Rainy Days

Rain is powerful

And beautiful

That too

It drips down my window,

Dribbling,

Trickling,

Sometimes

Cascading,

Streaming,

Gushing

Cold rain days send us in to our beds

Curled up with a good book

Buried under covers

Lost in another world

While the rain’s patter-patter

Provides a lulling backdrop to our thoughts

Hot cocoa comes out on cold rain days

So do old family movies

The couch is filled up,

People squished together

Laughing

Teasing

Loving

The best of everyone comes out on cold rain days

Cookies get baked in the warmth of the kitchen

Crafts are made on the big oak table in the dining room

Love comes out on cold rain days

Everyone is happy to be together

Hugs come out too

Sometimes there are warm rain days

Those are fun

And beautiful

That too

Warm rain days are fun to

Dance in

Run in

Laugh in

Laugh with

Warm rain days make everyone glow

They make frizzy hair curl

And sad people giggle

Warm rain days bring out the twirling

We all want to be outside

Spinning

Twirling

Running

In the warm rain days

Rain is powerful

And beautiful

That too
