Blank stares A blank wall Focus is lost Eyes flicker As do the lights above Try to stay at attention Mind wanders Success? Not even close Unless failure is the goal Pain intermittent Desire constant Regret immeasurable Tears released? No other solution- Run from yourself No looking back Into the arms of novelty You attempted to flee You came Saw Failed to conquer Your fears
