Random Things

I will make a list,

a list of random things.

First, beginning with broccoli,

then moving on to cream chees.

Faucets and books,

batteries and lead.

Even the little dustbunnies

that hide under your bed.

Crayons and soda,

crickets and pots.

And a 3-day-old apple

beginning to rot.

Umbrellas and flags,

lichens and soup.

The shingles on he roof

of a Swiss family's chicken coop.

I hope you liked my list,

my list of random things.

Now I will leave with this:

pumpkins, bubble gum, toe rings.

I got into poetry my freshman year of high school. I absolutely fell in love with it. It is my drug, my addiction that I cannot shake. I love visiting Renaissance Faires, theme parks, swimming, hiking, singing, writing, and reading. I love the movie "PS, I Love You." I am a hopeless romantic, but I have not always had the best luck in relationships. A lot of my poetry comes from my heart and mind, and holds special meaning, maybe even a few tears. But some other poetry of mine is simply random and weird and goofy. Just me being me. My nose gets cold easily, and my room is always a mess. I collect stuffed animals (don't laugh) and rocks (that I named for a time when I was younger). I also know how to play Snaps. Yeah. I also have a pet fish (Danny), two turtles (Todd and Talulah), two cats (Timon and Angel), two goats (Hearts and S.J.), and five dogs (Sheila, Shakespeare, Rusty, Duke, and Rebel). Yup. We're a farm. Not literally, but a lot of pets. I have a guitar, but I can't play yet. I need lessons. I shall learn though. Oh, and I have written way more poems than I have actually published on here. I have over a hundred. So what you see is only a peek. Hope you like my poetry.
