rapid love
i hate when i feel like a knife in my gut
would be better than oxygens rush through my lungs..
when this song means more than my heartbeats continued
blood spilled on the carpet congealed in its sinews
i love how your dangerous
live like a wire
you burn through my eyelids
and scorch like a fire
this adrenaline junkie you've made out of me
is surely one person who should never be free
my age says I'm young but my heart says I'm old
to go to the grave and let earth take its hold
ill never be bold like i long to be
so the difference is slight if i sail out to sea
would you cry at my rowboat, the oars gone to splinters
mourn all the secrets we shared in hushed whispers
cloud my memory, muddle my mind
help me in this haze to find my lifeline
your lips are my poison
a shock to my nerves
your touch the slow venom
that sears me with scars
ill take this death gladly
smolder to ash
if only to feel your fingertips last
your my perfect addiction
my one true prescription
to kill me with happiness
not one single tear
free of all worries,
doubts, or fools fears.
