Rapunzel Can Tangle Herself Out

Once upon a time long ago, 

lived a princess with hair down to her toes 

Rapunzel was held captive in a tower

Where she remained for hours and hours

The tale states that she had no way of escaping

And she had hair that was long and draping

And while she would eventually be saved by a prince, 

What if this all happened ages since? 

You see, Rapunzel is a feminist and proud 

She is determined, courageous, and had made herself a vow 

To find a way out all by herself

Because she, most certainly, did not need any help 

Her locks were endless and golden

She refused to confine to classic fairytale standards and become broken 

Instead, she withheld from letting down her hair

Because Rapunzel, Rapunzel, knew she would get somewhere

She began wasting her life away 

Trying to find the light in a day 

But after searching and running around and around, 

She realized there was a staircase facing down
