Rapunzel, Rapunzel
Rapunzel sat in a tower
so incredibly tall
That it made the length of her hair
appear small.
Rapunzel sat and in a tower
and bawled and cried
"I could get out of here," she thought
"If I wasn't scared of heights!"
You see the window was unlocked
And a ladder propped up
She could climb down if she wanted
But her fears left her stuck
She would go up to the window
every day at noon
But she never had the courage
and it wouldn't come soon
She believed that someday
her Prince would save her
so facing her fears
seemed like a pointless endeavor
But as she aged
and death grew near
she gave up on a prince
and faced her fear
She climbed down and down
one rung at a time
And she realized how long
she spent wasting her life
Hoping on hope
for a miracle to transpire
when all she needed
was the strength inside her
