Rapunzel Rapunzel, Just Doesn't Care

You’ve heard of the knight,

He was the chivalrous sort.

That is why he was chosen

Out of all the king’s court

To rescue the princess

From the terrible tower

Where she was placed by a witch

of immeasurable power

The clever man waited

Until the wicked witch was gone

And the dragon she left

Began finally to yawn

He snuck to the tower

And at the base he cried,

“I’ve come as your rescuer

My beautiful bride!”

The princess, confused,

Looked down from her tower.

There she saw the knight standing

with jewelry and a flower.

“Thanks but no thanks,

You can keep your pearls!’

You see my good sir,

I much prefer girls!
 

I ran away from my castle

To be with my wife

My beautiful witch,

The love of my life!”

The man arose from the ground

And replied with a wave

“Well then I suppose,

I’ll find another princess to save!”
