Rapunzel's Freedom

A lonely girl in a forgotten tower.

Day by day passed

Not a sound disturbed the still woods.

She was tired of waiting.

Her heart ached for companionship,

A hole waiting to be filled.

But the days went on anyway.

Her prince never came.

Tears drying

Hope rising

Spending months waiting for the right moment.

Her escape.

When the moment arrived

The warrior princess

Scaled her way down the tower

Short hair caressing the breeze.

She reached the bottom.

And She got up

And

she

Walked

Away,

Free.
