rashomon
if i'm not pretending to be
somebody else,
then who am i?
i fear that question.
singing a song i don't really
know the words to;
writing down the words i
somehow can't understand.
this game that i play,
with myself and with the world;
it exhausts me.
yet for some reason,
i'm still fighting against it.
i found myself, or
who i was supposed to be,
all this time.
the world tried to change me
it tried to make me fear it.
but through it all,
i'm still here.
but that's okay.
i'm gonna change this world instead.
and it, in turn,
will fear me instead.
