Sometimes things in excess can destroy

Water is essential to life

Too much and you have a flood

Too little and you have a drought

Food is essential to life

Too much and you have gluttony

Too little and you have malnourishment

And what about rationality

It needs to be kept at a perfect balance

Too much

Or too little

and it destroys
