Rational Exponents

In the palms of math, where numbers dance,

Rational exponents take their chance.

A fraction in the power’s place,

Simplifies the number's face.

To the power of a half, or maybe a third,

Roots and powers, their voices are heard

x^(m/n) is the name of the game,

Roots and exponents, one are all the same.

Take 8^(2/3) and see the light,

Cube root of 8 is even to 2, then square it right.

First find the root then raise the power

Then square it, \(2^2 = 4\), it’s true.
