Raw Emotion

Poems are memories

The pain that you feel

The anguish that you hide

The passion that burns so deeply inside

They're the remainder of the past

And the inkling of the future

The taste on your tongue that you just can't remember

They are energy

Power

Love

Hate

A mixure of emotions only a poet can create

It's the satisfaction of knowing that your words ring true

That they'll always find a meaning deep inside of you

Its your hopes

Your dreams

Your ambitions

Put into words for the world to decode

They're your story

Your emblem

Your life

Though in few words

Those words bring new light

Showing the world your view

Only to those who knew what you knew

Who read deep enough to see

That I'm not the person you suppose me to be
