A Ray of Sunshine
I took 16 years to Give you away
And it took 10 months for you to come back to me in the form of a flame
A flame i had to choose to let burn my ambition or fuel my fire
Because i love you i cried when me and your dad found out
Nearly died when your grandma bought the test
And froze when i saw the disappointment in your grandpa's eyes
But through all that you remained my sunshine
Because i love you i get up at 6am
Go to school and realize that because i love you i'll have to leave you
Because in order for me to give you a world to shine upon i have to go to college and better myself
But because i love you, that four years is going to feel like eternity
your rays will never leave me cold and lonely
