Reach for the Sky!

Extending my arm and stretching my fingers out I reach for the stars. They're far away, the nearest one being 4.2 light years away. Memories of people, strangers, acquaintance and those close Telling me I'll never make it. To the stars or to the dream I wish to them every night. To prove them wrong I do my best, but then I question what I wish for? Do I wish to go to college? Do I wish to become a doctor? Do I wish to aim for the hardest but most reknowned college in the world? The stars disappear as day approaches and my goals are confused. My resolve melts and reforms many times over Each time getting weaker and then the stars appear again. I decide. Even though average in everything I will achieve the said impossible. Even though my school is easily over looked and money is hard I will graduate high school. Go to college and not settle; seeking the challenges out. I will graduate as a doctor who can save everyone. I will reach for the sky!
