Reaching to the Stars

A dream is a something I like to think

As I’m standing on the brink

Of my life that lies ahead

Something exciting that I do not dread.

I’m working hard like ants that I might see

What it is the Lord has for me.

There are many things that I have shared,

So that I will be prepared.

Many years in school I’ll be

Preparing for my destiny.

Math and science is what I’ll need

And much more I will heed.

An astrophysicist is a possibility

Depending on my mental ability.

There are other goals that fit the test

But this is one I think the best.

What is an astrophysicist, you ask?

It’s all of cosmos like stars and other tasks.

Study of physics up in space

And other things in that far away place.

I looked up in the sky so bright

And saw all the stars at night.

It was amazing to my sight

The stars danced playfully in the moonlit sky.

There are galaxies like Milky-way near and far

Which includes Jupiter and Mars.

Just to know there’s gazillions more

That we can explore.

To NASA I would like to go

To build space ships to carry cargo.

To send people back and forth

To see a place besides the earth.

NASA has launched men on the moon

And other things are coming soon.

They have put up satellites

Which keep our cell phones running tight.

Studying superior space is a wide open door

Because there is always more to explore.

God has designed such a masterful place

And that’s why I want to study space.

In my country we play a game

It’s with a ball soccer’s the name.

We start out as just a tot

And play on any vacant spot.

I like to play it at every chance

My life it really does enhance.

I play a lot and play it well

It’s more than fun as you can tell.

I get to meet a lot of guys and gals

Who through the weeks become my pals.

We play if it rains and pours

Always striving for the greatest scores.

It’s about running very fast

So you won’t come in last.

Knowing how to control the ball

Is most important thing of all.

As I go along in my life

I would like to seek a wife.

To stay together until one dies,

We will pass away by and by.

We would marry like Romeo you would see

And we would have a family.

I would teach them all I could

About God that I understood.

I’ll show them why going to church is right

That we need to worship in God’s sight.

We need to sing praises so He will know

That we really love Him so.

We need to give to Him our heart

Right from the beginning- from the start.

Then we can tell others what is true

From God’s word direct to you.

A dream is a something I like to think

As I’m standing on the brink

Of my life that lies ahead

Something exciting that I do not dread.
