Ready

To call upon hearts to give what they can

To bring what I’ve gathered to far away lands

I am ready

To roar a plane to vigorous life

To bring helping hands, prepared to fight

I am ready

To place my healing touch on fevered brows

To bring abundance where wanting abounds

I am ready

To take away suffering, sickness, and pain

To bring all a doctor can offer – I say,

I am ready

Years upon years of learning, worth while

If only for one patient’s grateful smile

I am ready

So bring on your challenges, show me your doubts

There’s not one I can’t handle now that I’ve found

I am ready

To become the future image of me –

The doctor who flies to bring relief

I am ready

Here I go, to cause plans and planes to start

Here I go, determination in my heart

I am ready.
