"Ready For Life"

“Come inside before dark!”

“Get up we’re going to church!”

I finally realize that all those blessings weren’t cursed.

Her love was something genuine.

For me - she was always there.

As a child I never could understand why I couldn’t do what I wanted.

I thought life wasn’t fair.

On June 6th, A day I’ll never forget

The day God called you to be his angel

And the day your heart called it quits.

All the times I was scolded

Shaped me into who I am now.

To take all the lessons you taught me

And use them wisely, I vow.

Thank you Grandma…

I think I’m ready now.
