Ready to Run

Ready to run

Conflicting cancerous emotion,
A sickening strenuous condition.
Thoughts placed end to end,
Tremorous turmoil within.

Stretched heart strings strained,
Pulled with newly thrown lines,
Forcibly tightened and pained.
Bubbles of broken beaded cries,
How the years turned to lies.....

Land full of promise on the horizon,
Ebb and whey burn blistering crimson.
But still I stretch to reach,

Stretching the strings strained,
Ripping rough ragged sinew,
To throw those lines anew.

Casting out the hope,
With an experienced rope,
Always ready for an elope.

Fearing with ruined innocence,
And with gullible allegiance,
Repeats of previous grief,
And snagging on'a primitive reef.

Paying thrice again for the belief,
In the angelic art of love relief.
