Real.
If I stayed within the lines, would these words read any clearer?
Would they bring about a smile?
Would I feel you getting nearer?
To the beat that speeds and stops,
In my chest, the dance...the drop.
The shortness of my breath..
The words that can't get out.
You scare me half to death.
I roar an inward shout.
For I am not a man, it cuts me like a knife.
I thought I could not stand...
You brought me back to life.
A smile I can hold,
A glance that I can feel.
You're better than a dream...
You're real.
