The Real Me
As I write this, I am behind my phone.
None of you know my personality.
My beliefs, passions, and life are hidden.
You don't know the real me.
As far as you know my name is anonymous,
to your knowledge, my gender is neutral.
I am just another hopeful writer.
You don't know the real me.
I plaster a smile onto my face,
although I may not always be happy.
I go through life a positive person.
You are beginning to know the real me.
I am a dancer, painter, and sculptor.
Visual arts are a passion of mine.
My body is destroyed from my dancing.
You kind of know the real me.
I am studious and an introvert.
I enjoy sitting at home-studying.
My social life is on the back burner.
Are you starting to understand the real me?
As far as you know, my name is still anonymous.
To your knowledge, my gender is still neutral.
And I am still just another hopeful writer.
That is the real me.
