The Real Me

Gotta have my makeup

My skin is not the best

Sometimes this world

Makes me feel like a guest

I try to fit in

With my peers or a group

Sometimes I feel like

I’m not in the loop

Never had a real boyfriend

But that’s OK

I’ll find Mr. Right

Somewhere, someday

Now I’m in college

Getting deeper in debt

But I’m building friendships

I’ll never forget

Fashion merchandising

Is the future I see

But yoga pants and sweats

Is the authentic me
