The Real Me

It’s easy to hide behind a filter,

What’s hard is learning to accept yourself,

To love yourself.

I am myself,

Away from a computer or cell phone,

I am just myself.

See the real me,

The girl who’s caring and outgoing,

Can you see the real me?

The girl who smiles and laughs,

The girl who lifts weights,

Can you see the real me?

The girl who seems so strong and independent,

But can you see the real me?

The girl who loves and loves to be loved,

The girl who is happy with herself, even without a filter,

That’s the real me.
