The Real Me
How's my hair?
How's my makeup?
I need the perfect light,
what happens when you have none of that?
When it's just you, the most authentic version.
For me there is no makeup, no lighting, no filter,
but what is it that I actually see?
My most authentic version is a fair skinned young girl.
I have acne, I have scars, my nose isn't perfect, my cheeks are fat,
I have semi dark curly hair.
My Puerto Rican color can only really be seen in the summer,
I have this peach fuzz that goes from one ear to the other beneath my chin.
I have small dark brown eyes, I have brown bushy yet clean eyebrows.
With my face naked I don't mind much, I'm content with myself.
My hair's a mess.
I have no make up on.
I don't need specific light.
My natural look is just as pretty as the "filtered" one.
Makeup is a friend, filters are friends, and yet you don't always need them.
