The real me

The Real Me
People always tell me to be me
To be the one of a kind me
To be the real me
To not be afraid to be me

But they set a certain standard of me-ness
They tell me to be me but in this way
They tell me to do in my own way but with this and that
They tell me to be my own person while dressing me up as someone else

We'll I'm not afraid of you or me
And I will be my own image
My own reality of who I should be
My own thoughts
My own actions
And my own self
I am perfect the way I want to be and no one will tell me otherwise
because I am the real me
