The Real Story of Rapunzel
The Real Story of Rapunzel
Once Upon a time a girl lived in a tower
She had long beautiful hair and a golden heart
One day she went outside when it was midnight blue
Against her mother’s wishes and pleas
She saw a beautiful four-legged creature
As she rubbed its fur it bit down on her arm
Rapunzel tried to get the ointment out of her bag
But it was too late
The holes in her vision had began and before she knew
There was nothing
When the beauty woke she was different
Her hair had grown tremendously
And the forest animals were all injured
Some moaned in pain
While others looked off into the distance
The trees were split symmetrically
Beautiful green trees were now an ugly dusty color
She could only gasp in horror at what happened
Rapunzel’s mother found her and scolded her
For she explained to her daughter that she had did this
It was a genetic defect and the bite must have awakened it
The pretty blonde was once again locked in the tower
Her mother cut her hair everyday
And staring lifelessly out of the window
One day a brown-haired man came
Rapunzel knew this was her chance to escape
Even if she possibly hurt the young man she didn’t care
Freedom was what she craved not companionship.
