Welcome to the real world teachers say

I’m just trying to prepare you for when you get in to the real world your parents say

The world I’m living in is fantasy…

So there are leprechauns, and unicorns, and prince charming, and fairies, and pixies

I hate when they say in the real world I am leaving the real world

I just don’t pay taxes yet

Or pay the dam cable bill

So what..

I’m living life as real as it is

Looking how the world is change

With being able to vote

People killing people over nothing

Yea, I am in the real world

So why do I still hear people say that

I don’t want to tell my child

Well in the real world

Real life

That people have put fantasies in are head

So I know what is real,

What’s fake, what’s pretend

Please stop saying in the real world

We are in it

Just prepare us for what is to come, and show us the best way to handle it
