Once upon a time

In a land no so far away

There a girl and boy stood

Separated by a window pane

He was strong and handsome

She, dainty and vain

At midnight’s hour both would

Wish away the pain

They knew one another

But not by name

They wished only to be together

To douse heartbreak’s flame

They wanted to start forever

But fear neither could tame

Two iphone crossed lovers

Yearned to be the same

One fateful day

Their paths did cross

Neither a word could either say

As their tongues tired in knots

She whispers “hey”

And in her eyes he was lost

Chains of time flew away

As they finished each other's’ thoughts

Their hearts never beat so fast

As they forgot lessons learned

From heartbreaks gone past

Together to be they yearned

Since breaking through the glass

Upon them Fate smiled,

They were together at last

In love, the years flew

Then along came a child

Later accompanied by two

Their hectic life was wild

And stronger the bonds grew

Eternally both would smile

As both knew their love was true

Thankful for the day that broke the glass aisle
