Reality

I seek it

I am surrounded by it

How can I escape?

It is depression that haunts you.

It is suicidal thoughts that tempt you.

It is stress that wears you down.

It is hope that you give up on.

It is loss that makes you feel alone.

I am alone.

Deep in the night,

Nightmares plague me.

Late in the day,

Sleep will tempt me.

I want to give up.

To give in.

To leave.

It is death,

that whispers sweet nothings to me.

Work. School. Routine.

It's killing me slowly.

I can't hold on forever.

I am losing myself, in reality.
