Reality

Spirit, reason, Minds apart. Want you close, but you're too far. Dreams fill the void of what I cannot achieve. Ears block the words that would cause me to believe. Afraid of the future. Afraid of the past. Afraid that what I want just wouldn't last. Maybe it would and that's the real fear: the fear of hurting those who are near. Just stay away, I can't bear the thought of me being so happy that I get caught in the fantasy world and hurt you so. I can't bear the thought of letting you go. It'll hurt even more if you're in pain. And if I caused it, then I'm to blame. It's jut not worth it, I believe. You can just stay, it will be me who leaves.
