Reality

Because I love you,

I will hold your hand until the end of the storm

I will stand by you through thick and thin

And though my jokes are not funny at all,

I will cherish the moments when I make you grin

Because I love you,

It pains me to see you being mistreated

Even by the ones that you call your own

Your mother, your father, and even Aunt Clara,

abandoned you when you asked for one - just one- loan

Because I love you,

I never lay a violent hand on you

I would not dare to oppress your creative mind

which flows with selfless ideas of refining the world

Only your warm heart could be so kind

You are my better half.

I love you.
