Reality
It's this thing that I can't seem to wrap my mind around
Every time I think I'm okay, it's the inner peace I truly haven't found
It would be easy to say it's all their fault and nothing falls on me
But taking responsibility for the stupidity is part of accepting reality
I can't seem to understand what it is about myself that's so wrong
Even after being pushed aside, I hold onto someone I want for too long
It would be easy to pin it all on my inner desires
But at some point I need to realize that those desires have only led to liars
I wish I could see this strength within myself that my friends tell me about
But I'm still stuck on how being mistreated has led to so much self doubt
It should be so easy to "fake it till you make it"
But I've never been good at hiding my feelings or speaking bullshit
Someday I'll accept what is and cannot be changed
Although by then, the past hurts may have left me deranged
I wish it was as easy as giving up all hope and chance on my perfect man
But I constantly attract the rough bad boy who in the end being around me he can't stand
