Reality

Real talk life isn’t fake,

But life only throws you the opportunities that you need to take,

Because it’s all about holding on for your own sake,

Because life isn’t what you dreamed to make,

This is reality

So think about all these people on the street that gang bang

And think about the little girl that was tossed and gang-banged and now have internal scars from rape

And that’s real

Every sin leads up to the word steal

So think about the sin that these thugs committed by stealing this girl’s virginity

Now she doesn’t trust love and sex because the meaning was stolen from her

And she stepped out of her fairytale to live reality,

And this world is cold

Because no one is dying old

Everyone is being killed young

And it makes me think about the past when young blacks were hung,

But the blacks then are the everyones of now

Because a bullet doesn’t discriminate

So therefore ain’t nobody safe,

Take the time to listen to the things I say

Life isn’t a game anymore there’s no time to play,

Because a series of unfortunate events can happen any day,

So let me Lemony Snicket through these pages of life,

And show you that I’m here to stay

But I know people that every night have to pray

That they wake up to see another day

And that is their reality,

So it’s time for people to stop living in their dreams,

Because so far it only seems,

That people are damaged by society,

And I’m one who has been damaged by the system

Because I can first-hand tell you how this world is wrong

One night I prayed to god to remove my enemies from my life,

And when I woke up several people I called friends were gone.
