Reality

Why am I afraid to walk down my street alone Afraid to call the place where I stay a home Why is this world so harsh to the touch Even if I brush, Against the wrong person that could be my life Terrified of becoming someone’s wife The thought of being trapped with one person to the end of time Seems like a crime Something of the nature of Kidnapping Against my will, but I’m willing to work things out in our life To make things right In our life The love he gives me is like oxy-gen Not the gin that that you drink but the one that you breathe To survive I don’t want to mess up our lives I love this man more than you could ever believe I don’t want to be the one that deceives What’s real or what’s fake That’s just something I know I would hate! The simple fact that I’m a girl from the suburbs and you a guy from the hood But we came together and made this happen Like the little engine that could I hate to face reality because I know I would only face humility But hey I’m just a girl who is trying to make it In this world I’m like a dog curled, On the sidewalk with no sense of direction Like future and Rihanna I need Love and Affection Someone to guide me through the long days and dark nights Someone to fall back on that I could trust with my life It’s only right! So with that being said I'm going to bring this poem to a close But I want to thank those, Who put up with me and those who hated me Because not only did you make me stronger You made me see That I’m brave enough to face REALITY!
