Reality

The sky is dark Like a light bulb dying The ground is cold Like a corpse under ground The trees sway back and forth Only for a moment Then their still His face falls Her face cracks She breaks away He is left in the shadow of her rebuke She knows there is no love But only hope and silly fantasies The wind blows Orange and red leaves follow her Down the dull sidewalk The mountains so colorful The houses painted blue The grass so green The lights so bright The rain so clear and sparkly All of it turns into a blur of grey and black Nothing matters any more She doesn’t care She has never known love Through family or friends It looks like she had it all But none of it was real
