Reality of Civil War

Shells bursting is the only din.

The dirt launched up from the moist ground.

My vision is blinded by the light.

I must withstand. Even despite

The fact that I cannot be found.

This instant in itself-profound.

Pain strangles my face- bloody wound.

First thought of this place ushered delight.

Shells bursting is the only din.

Mission: to slaughter surround.

Enemy territory found.

Escaping, running- all my mite.

Our differences quickly ignite.

Looking down, my blood runs- flesh wound.

Shells bursting is the only din.
