The Reality of Me

I am from a place where the birds sing, where the wind blows, and the rainy days come and go. I am from a place you can hear the laugher of family together, a place you can be crazy and still have fun.

I am from late nights playing cards and drinking multiple cups of coffee just to stay awake.

I am from a place where grounds are covered with green grass and beautiful flowers places by timeless hands. A place where cats were never suspected to be a part of the family and definitely not loved as much as they were. Where dogs were much more than just friends.

From a place full of adventures and new experiences, where moments filled with memories of laughter remain.

Sadly, I’m from a place where goof friends are hard to find. Yet, I have. From a place where people are hurting and are in pain, where it seems hard times rarely leave.

I’m also from the family that raised me to trust in God. To believe He will help us when we are in need. From the family that encouraged me to pray in the face of good times and bad, where the word family also means friend

More importantly, I am from a place where handicap doesn’t mean a disability. It means a stronger connected family who must put all their faith and trust in God. I am me, Sarah. All I can do is be the best I can be and strive towards the goals God has for me.
