Reality of a nigga

Picture this living in a black residence

Where residents look at you with a timeline to be heaven sent

Is this prejudice?

If the stereotypes are held by people with the same skin as us

My whole city in jeopardy

No one escapes my town so what’s next for me?

In Henderson, there’s no such thing as emergencies

It doesn’t matter if a body drop and emerge in seas

That kids mom wanted to see the body just to emerge and cease

In my city it ain’t no surprise to see people die at 14

In one week the body count was 4 teens

While the police sat on they ass watching tv

No I’m not asking for anyone to sympathize

Just realize that equality is the real lies

In America I’m the one police despise

Because they see

That imma continue to rise

A nigga the same age as me, sixteen, shot down in the streets

Another son lost to a bullet

That was my cousin, but I ain’t gon say his name

So no one says I use that as my claim to fame

Police gave excuses as fillers

“Oh he a drug dealer so why catch his killer?”

This the stuff that make us hate them niggas

Words like police and killer become synonymous

Because police allow the killer to remain anonymous

Justice system full of broken promises

This why everybody in the hood tries to establish dominance

Tell me what else am I supposed to do in, America’s broken institution

Face prosecution?

Or live through constant persecution

With no resolution

This won’t what I was promised in the constitution

To be honest police are used as instruments of execution

Therefore I’ll place myself in seclusion from America

Trying to forget the ways I’m hated and viewed in America

But I shall never be muted nor ever disputed in America

Because if niggas the reason America’s polluted

Even after it was proven to have a dream that was convoluted when first instituted

Why were we recruited and torn from the home which we were rooted
